Available as an add-on to TrailDash 3 our mounts offer a seamless, factory installed look. For the 2018+ models, our Gateway Bypass module will be required to gain access to the Jeep’s control modules for proper feature adjsutment and control through the TD3. This Bypass module is included for JL and JT models and installs in minutes under the dash by simply plugging into a factory wiring harness.

Installing an Unlocked PCM
Steps 1 & 2 Reading the factory PCM
1.Install the provided Security Bypass Module. Follow instructions in manual
2.With Factory PCM still installed, connect your TD3 to Vehicle.*
a.Select Tune
b.Select Tune Vehicle
c.Screen will display:
i.Establishing Communications
ii.Gathering Data from Factory ECU. Please Wait
iii.Successfully Retrieved Data from Factory ECU! Proceed to website and follow PCM swap instructions online to request your unlocked PCM. You will need to receive your unlocked PCM before proceeding with any additional steps. Refer to your install guide for additional instructions
*Please note, upon connecting your TD3, you may be presented with an alternate screen that indicates the following:
Product update required. This vehicles tuning is unrecognized. You must update this device using the update software in order to program the vehicle. This product will need to read and save the vehicles stock tuning first. This process will take several minutes. Touch screen to continue
*This is normal and pressing continue will allow the device to continue reading your stock file.
After completing steps 1 & 2, you will need to proceed to www.superchips.com and update your device. Navigate to the update tab and then proceed to the Fusion update tool and connect your TD3. Next, proceed to https://superchips.com/pcm-ship/ to submit your vehicle information and request and unlocked PCM. Proceed with the steps below only after receiving your unlocked PCM from Superchips.
Steps 3-5: Installing Unlocked PCM and Installing a Tune with the TD3
3.Turn Ignition Off. Disconnect Tuner. Disconnect Battery.
4.Remove Factory PCM (10mm) and Install Unlocked PCM. Connect Battery.
5.With Unlocked PCM installed, connect TD3 to Vehicle.
a.Navigate to Performance Menu option from pull up menu
b.Select a performance tuning level
c.Tuner will read PCM and continue tuning your vehicle. You will need to follow device screen prompts from this point forward.** (When prompted for Ignition ON, be sure double tap on push start and check to see run illuminated on push start itself)
On first power up with an Unlocked PCM, the cluster panel will illuminate the red security light and may warn about other module errors (Traction Control, ABS, etc.). This is not abnormal and part of the process.
When you begin to tune and are prompted to turn the Ignition On, the cluster panel should no longer have the red security light illuminated which signals that your JL has been programmed, and connected, to the Unlocked PCM.
After installing your tune, start the vehicle. Let the vehicle run for more than 3 seconds, and test throttle response. The vehicle shutting off after ~3 seconds, or having a dead pedal indicates that there was an issue reading stock data and/or writing stock data to unlocked PCM. If throttle response is good and vehicle stays running, please continue by shutting off engine, returning ignition to ON.

Sway Bar Disconnect: Excellent for off-road suspension articulation and ride quality.
– This feature will disconnect the Front Sway Bar in 2WD, 4WD-Hi and 4WD-Lo up to 55mph. The factory limits sway bar disconnect to 4-Low and 25mph. This feature will only function while in the Gauges feature of the device.
*Please note that this is a Rubicon Only Feature, unless you have added a factory Sway Bar Disconnect Module and enabled it via the Tuning Menu.
All Axle Locker: Excellent for additional traction and wheel speed when off-trail. Offers a more exciting off-roading driver experience.
– This feature will lock both Front and Rear axles in 4WD-Hi and 4WD-Lo up to 55mph. The factory limits lockers to 4-Lo range and 25mph only. The vehicle must be stopped to lock all of the axles and remain under 55mph for the axles to remain locked. If the vehicle exceeds 55mph, the axles will be unlocked. This feature will only function while in the Gauges feature of the device.
*Please note that this is a Rubicon Only Feature, or available only for vehicles equipped with factory axle lockers.
Rear Axle Locker: Excellent for off-road driving in sand and snow, where 2wd and more wheel speed can offer a more exciting driver experience.
– This feature will lock the Rear axle in 2WD, 4WDHi and 4WDLo up to 55mph. The factory limits rear locker to 4WD and under 25mph. The vehicle must be stopped to lock the rear axle and remain under 55mph for the axle to remain locked. If the vehicle exceeds 55mph, the axle will be unlocked. This feature will only function while in the Gauges feature of the device.
*Please note that this is a Rubicon Only Feature, or available only for vehicles equipped with factory axle lockers.
TPMS Disable: Excellent for going off-trail and airing down tires below the TPMS threshold settings.
– This feature will disable the TPMS sensors and remove any low-pressure warning from the dashboard. This feature will only function while in the Gauges feature of the device.
Rock Lock: Excellent when in off-trail and off camber situations where the driver must exit the vehicle and can’t rely on just an emergency brake to hold the Jeep. This locks all four brakes for maximum braking/holding capacity.
– This feature will apply the front and rear brakes and hold them until the feature is disabled. This feature will only function while in the Gauges feature of the device.
Line Lock:
– This feature will apply the front brakes ONLY and hold them until the feature is disabled. This feature will only function while in the Gauges feature of the device.
Engine Idle Control: Excellent for off-trail crawling or extra voltage for more power winching
– The feature allows the driver to raise Engine Idle in Park and Neutral from 700-1500RPM. This feature will only function while in the Gauges feature of the device.
