Superchips Renews Partnership with Team Four Corners 4×4 for 2015 Season!

Team Four Corners 4×4, led by Jason Kaminsky in his 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is getting ready to start their fourth season in 4×4 Endurance racing this March, 2015.  Kaminsky and his co-pilot, Richard Jenkins, are excited that this year in addition to racing in the Dirt Riot Southwest and Mountain Series,  they will also be rock crawling competitively in the WEROCK Western Series.

In 2014, the team ended with five podium finishes out of seven events, including their top ten finish at The King of The Hammers Everyman Challenge.

2013 was a great year for the team, when they earned the title of Dirt Riot National Champions in their class.  They hope to return to the top spot on the podium in 2015.

2012 was the first year of competitive rock sports for the team which started with a fifth place finish at the first King of the Hammers Everyman Challenge, followed by a Mountain Series title in Dirt Riot.

In all, the team has earned 15 podium finishes and six titles and Superchips has been there every step of the way.  “They are critical to our success.  As a primary sponsor of our team for the fourth year now, Superchips has sustained their commitment to the off road community by supporting racers like us, events like Moab Easter Jeep Safari, and land-use issues nationwide.  That’s not to mention the great products that we use to increase performance in the race vehicle, tow rig, and other support vehicles,” commented Kaminsky.  “We’re very happy to be involved with a company so important to the off road community.”

The team’s first event of the season will be a double-header, where Kaminsky will compete in both WEROCK rock crawling and Dirt Riot Endurance racing events the same weekend in Congress, Arizona on March 7th & 8th.  Be sure to keep up with the team’s schedule at http://fc4x4.com/schedule.

If you can’t make it to a race, make sure to see the team go recreational wheeling at a number of events from Moab to Ouray to Aspen and all over the southwest region.

Four Corners 4×4 Claims 2nd in Tuscon, Takes Toll On Rig

DURANGO, CO – Four Corners 4×4 traveled to Tucson, Arizona to compete in the second round of the Dirt Riot Endurance Racing Southwest Series at MC Motorsports Park on April 5th. In Dirt Riot Endurance Racing, teams compete on a 5-10 mile long circuit during an established time limit. Competitor finishing order is determined by the number of laps completed by each within the time limit. The 2006 Jeep Wrangler LJ piloted by Jason Kaminsky and Rick Jenkins of Four Corners 4×4 suffered late-race mechanical breakage causing the team to finish in second place.

“Consistency is key. We would like to be at the top of the podium, but consistency in these races is what determines the series and overall titles for the season,” notes Kaminsky.  “This was a tough race. The dust was thick, severely limiting our visibility. We were closing in on the leader when we veered slightly off track and into cactus. Continuing to drive hard, our track bar mount broke away eliminating the possibility of a win.”  The Four Corners 4×4 team finished the 2013 Dirt Riot Southwest Series with a 2nd place overall title and is looking to improve to the top spot for 2014. The final event in the Southwest Series will be held in Cortez, Colorado on August 16th.

The Four Corners 4×4 crew is set to defend their 2013 Series Title when the Dirt Riot Mountain Series kicks off on April 19th at AreaBFE near Moab, Utah.  Superchips will be on site in Moab and we look forward to capping off the Easter Jeep Safari at AreaBFE with Jason & Rick.  Did you know the Four Corners 4×4 team has a TrailDash installed in their rig?  Make sure you read all about the features TrailDash offers and consider the value, performance, and fun it can provide you!
