F5 GM Flashpaq is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for a great price! I bought the superchips flashpaq for my 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 because I had regeared the rear differential to 4.88 gears so my speedometer read incorrect. I programmed my truck with the superchips flashpaq just to reprogram my speedometer but got more hp and improved shift points than I intended for. I played around with shift points and even changed up the programming to the performance tune and this product gave me more power overall using the tow tune. At the end of the day this product was a great buy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to help some I bought this about a month ago and am pretty happy. I ended up calling tech support three times . They worked through the codes I received and sent uploads for me they did stay on the line with me while the issues were worked out and called back to make sure it worked after the last call was elevated to a Master tech. I expected a few minor issues as it is for the 2017 Silverado 5.3 with six speed transmission.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money unless you want to change tire sizs I bought the flashpaq f5 a couple of months ago and I was not happy about it every time I put the mileage save tune I would feel a loss in power on my 2013 Chevy silverado 4.8.And with the 87 octane tune my truck wouldn't shift into 4th gear until I forced it to 40mph without forcing the truck to 40 I would be going 35mph revving at 2000 rpm so all I use the flashpaq f5 for is to change my tire size

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great features, non-existent customer support I had been waiting for the Flashpaq to be available for my 2017 Chevy Tahoe. Finally the web site showed it as available and I ordered it (note: I have used Flashpaqs on at least 8 previous cars). Upon arrival I tried to tune the Tahoe and it said "does not support this model year". I fired off a question to customer support and never did hear back. The next week I used the "Ignition" software to update my Flashpaq and tried again. This time it got further but said it was missing files. I waited a week and tried again. Same result. I also tried customer support again and got no response. A week later I updated the unit again and got the same error. I then went through daily updates and finally it did tune my Tahoe as expected. In the end it worked just like those I have bought in the past however the process of getting it to work was not ideal. The total absence of their customer support was disappointing.

I would update your f5 via the superchips site. If no luck then get a hold of customer support. They will make it right.

I am buying a 17 GOD 2500HD 4th with a 6.0. Going to be used as a daily driver and to pull a gooseneck horse trailer. What could I expect with a tuner and will it void my warranty?

Asked by: Bob1
Everything that I have read or been told about the Superchip programmer says that it will not void the warranty. You can also always put it back to stock before taking it in for any service. I have always been a big fan of the Superchip in my Ford vehicles but on the new GMC 5.3, I haven t been impressed. The programmer for the 2017 doesn't have any transmission updates yet and the performance tuning doesn't really do anything for my vehicle. very disappointed. The only thing that it has helped with is the calibration for larger tires and being able to shut off the MDS/VVT. It may be different for the 6.0 but so far I don't think it is worth the money. Good luck.

Will this tuner work on my 08 Sierra 1500 5.3l? And is there a tune for regular fuel input or just a tune for increase fuel economy or mpg? Cuz if it does work for my truck I just want to use it for increase MPG not for the horse or torque.

Asked by: Zack1
Yes, we cover this truck. The Flashpaq does come with a Mileage XS tune designed for optimized fuel economy. We encourage customer to try all the power levels as you may actually experience better gains tuned to performance. This will vary based on your altitude, driving patterns, payload, and of course your right foot. We can't make a specific claim on MPGs picked up, but we can tell you loads of our customers are looking for the same thing you're looking for and they've been pleased with Flashpaq.

I have a 2011 GMC Sierra and I lifted it 7.5 inches and it lost quite a bit of power due to that, how much hp and torque would I gain with the 2845 on the economy and performance tune?

Can this be used to change vvt in 2014 Silverado 5.3

Asked by: Curly300
That's a question for tech support. It doesn't for the 2017 yet which is what I have.

What is the power levels for a 2016 Silverado with the 4.3 engine? The web site used to show 18 horse and 22 ft lbs for the 87 octane tune. Which has since been changed. Other tuners show 5 horse and 8 ft lbs for the 87 octane tune.
